"Keep a grateful journal. Every night, list five things that happened this day that you are grateful for. What it will begin to do is change your perspective of your day and your life. If you can learn to focus on what you have, you will always see that the universe is abundant; you will have more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never have enough". Oprah Winfrey
I can't be more agree to Oprah. We are living in the broken down world where person with the character of Gratitude is something that is going to extinct. Many people taking everything for granted and instead of being grateful of what they have, they complained about what they don't have. Well, I used to be that kind of person, but I'm changing to become a better person everyday.
So, taking what Oprah suggested, here is the list of 5 things that I'm really grateful for:
1. My Family
My Parents - I do not have perfect or wealthy parents BUT I have parents that love me so much inspite of anything. I have parents that always support me in any circumstances. I will not be what I am today if it is not because of my parents
My Wife - Like my parents, my wife is not perfect BUT she is the best gift from GOD that ever happened in my life. Her support, pray and advise are the one that makes me live with excitement everyday.
2. My Job
I'm grateful with the Job that I have now. You know why :)
3. I have a place to live
I may not have a mansion OR a big house. Our place is just 100 square meter apartment. But, man, I'm glad that I have a home.
4. Good night sleep
Sometimes we have to wake up in the middle of the night because of our son BUT I'm grateful that I can still spend a good night sleep with the people that I love most
5. Good Health
I'm grateful for a good health so I can enjoy life. Enjoy what has been given to us
So, if you always see the world from the bright side, you will find that the GOOD thing is not far away from you. But if you always perceive the word from the dark side, you will definitely find that BAD thing is always follow you. What you think is what you get, if you are grateful enough of what you have, you will find that you have more and more each day.
